The product problem

A healthcare practitioner looking for a room needs more than a location. The type of space, available dates, facilities and rental terms all affect whether it is suitable. On the other side, a clinic owner needs to describe the room clearly and fit its availability around an existing business.

Clinic Room Connect is a marketplace built and launched by Launch Interest. It connects practitioners with clinic rooms, treatment rooms and professional health spaces, with an Australian market focus. The product brings the discovery experience and the space provider’s work into a shared journey.

Two audiences, two clear starting points

The public website gives visitors separate routes to find a space or list one. Search begins with location, room type and timing, with additional filters available. This places practical selection criteria close to the start of the experience, before a practitioner needs to investigate an individual room.

For hosts, the published journey begins with account and business details, followed by a listing with photos, a description, amenities and profession suitability. Hosts then set pricing and availability. The host guide describes both instant and approval-based booking, followed by booking management and payouts.

These are complementary tasks. Search depends on useful listing information, while a host needs a manageable way to keep that information relevant. Presenting both sides clearly helps explain what each participant contributes to the marketplace.

Design considerations

In this type of marketplace, an attractive listing is only the beginning. A practitioner still needs to understand whether the room fits their work, when it is available and what happens after they decide to book. Location, room type and timing are therefore useful organising choices rather than decorative search controls.

The host journey introduces a different set of decisions. A space provider may want requests reviewed before accepting them, or may prefer instant booking for suitable availability. The product’s published booking options make that distinction explicit. It is a reminder that marketplace design must account for the provider’s operating preferences as well as the customer’s convenience.

The public host information also explains the payment and cancellation journey. Making these expectations visible is relevant to trust: participants need to understand the terms around a transaction, alongside the physical qualities of the space. Clear descriptions and predictable next steps are central design considerations for a product coordinating real-world services.

What this project demonstrates

Clinic Room Connect illustrates a digital product development challenge that spans two audiences. Room discovery, listing information, availability and the published booking process need to make sense together. The marketplace experience reaches beyond the homepage into the work required to keep the product useful.

If your idea connects customers with providers, start by mapping what each side needs before, during and after an enquiry or transaction. Business automation can then support repetitive operational steps where appropriate. Discuss your marketplace with Launch Interest, or explore the AusCitizenReady learning product case study.
